Aston Martin Vantage– facts, figures and a driving report

All about the Aston Martin Vantage

The Vantage is impressively equipped with all the intuitive initial specifications one would expect in high-end sports cars, meticulously designed to serve their primary purpose: to amaze the senses with its globally renowned design, exceptional agile performance, and unparalleled meticulous craftsmanship. Its 4-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine emits Aston Martin’s familiar and thrilling roar, a true delight to the ears.

What is Aston Martin short history?

The existence of the British company Aston Martin dates back to 1913 when it was founded by “Lionel Martin” and “Robert.” The reason behind the name of the car is twofold: the word “Martin” is after the founder, while “Aston” refers to the famous Aston Hill Climb held in the Aston Clinton area in Britain, which was also the actual beginning of the company as they were working on preparing race cars before deciding to create their car.

The first car was introduced in 1915, but production did not start due to World War I. After the war, production of the first car, Aston Martin, resumed. Then, in 1920, Bamford left the company, prompting Lionel Martin to seek funding to continue the company, and indeed, he received financing from Count Louis Zborowski to design and prepare cars to participate in the French Grand Prix.

Three cars were prepared, and the car achieved great success and set records in its first participation, marking the beginning of one of the best cars in history.

These initial successes paved the way for Aston Martin to establish a reputation for excellence in both engineering and performance. This legacy of innovation and craftsmanship continues to define the brand throughout its storied history.

The model history of the Aston Martin Vantage

Throughout its history, Aston Martin has been recognized as one of the premier sports car brands in Europe and is the official car brand of James Bond. The model list includes the DB5, which is the most frequently featured model in the James Bond films.

Additionally, the One-77 model was introduced by the British brand in 2009, with only 78 units produced. Among the brand’s most notable models is also the V8 Vantage ’77, first released in 1977 and continued in sales until 1989.

Another iconic model from the famous British brand is the DB9, introduced in 2004 and continued until 2016. The classic and famous model, DBR1, sold at an auction in 2017 for $22.5 million and participated in the 1959 Le Mans 24-hour race.

The Victor model was released in 2020 in a limited edition, equipped with a V12 engine producing 836 horsepower. Lastly, the Aston Martin DB2/4 MkIII, launched in 1953 and continued until 1959, was produced in only 551 units.
